Is it possible to have neurological irregularities as a result of a viral infection?
My daughter started to get a cold Sunday night. I took her to the dr. Mon. AM. +3 tonils, no strep, no fever. Got home later that morning. She started to have tremors and then had a seizure about an hour later. By that point, her temp was 102. By the time we got to the ER, it was 104. Told the seizure was a result of the fever, so I wasn't too worried. Told to follow up with pediatrician, which I did the following morning. By that time, her eyes were starting to cross and she was stumbling when trying to walk. We were admitted to the hospital. MRI, Spinal Tap, EEG, blood work all normal. Seen by neurolgist. Pediatric neurologist consult said a bad viral infection could cause neurological inconsistencies and they will go away on their own. She is much better, but still suffering from minor symptoms. I'm tempted to insist that we be seen by pedicatric neurologist. HELP!

Since your daughter was already seen by the pediatric neurologist (the consult), why are you insisting to be seen by them again?

Pediatric Asthma, Who Gets It?
Pediatric asthma is a condition that affects children and infants. This kind of asthma has its many causes. When an infant is suffering from pediatric asthma, there are treatments that can be given to control it. Therapies for infants are available as one of the measures for treatment. There are also inhalers that are used to ease the flow of air moving in and out of the airways. The two types of inhalers are preventer and relievers. Preventer inhaler is usually used frequently to avoid attacks. Reliever inhalers are used for relief during an asthmatic attack.
Control measures are also necessary to help minimize the chances of an attack. Infants ought not to be exposed to conditions that will catalyze the reaction of pediatric asthma. Cold weather exposes the child to this kind of risk. It is advised therefore, to keep the child warm and not exposed. Pollution through the air and even the surrounding environs should be prevented.
